BMO FIELD DOUBLES AS CANADA'S LARGEST MINI-PUTT FACILITY

(Toronto) Toronto FC has announced today BMO field will double as one of the world's largest Mini Putt facilities during the summer. "It's a win-win proposition," BMO chairman David Galloway stated. "Nobody really believed that soccer-specific crap anyway."
Asked how large the course will be, Galloway explained "So far we have 18 holes installed, each named after a Toronto landmark. But we plan to fit in 36 holes, and perhaps more if soccer in Toronto completely fails. Our dream is to break the world record" for largest number of holes, a record currently held by Toronto FC's 2007 defense.
Long-time miniature golf player and historian Ed Platt told reporters that "I couldn't be more pleased, the surface is perfect for miniature golf, flat and hard, and of course, green. So there's not much they had to do."

TFC soccer players happily share field with 18 skill testing holes |

| Readers might expect the TFC players to be upset about sharing a field with a miniature golf course, but there they would be wrong! Newly acquired TFC player Dwayne DeRosario says "Actually it's not so bad. Sometimes when I get frustrated about soccer, I just pick up a putter and tap some putts. It's very relaxing." Keeper Greg Sutton adds "If I get thirsty I can wander over and take a sip from one of the water hazards. The sand traps are like beaches if I imagine them very big and myself very small. Also, it gives us something to do when everyone else is in the playoffs." |
